What’s Happening at CG?

Daily Devotional

Read: Luke 23: 32-43; Luke 24: 1-12
This undoubtedly is the greatest story ever told. About how Jesus Christ was crucified, dead and buried, but rose again! It would be hard to believe, if it wasn’t true. But, it is true because God says it’s so and we believe it. We believe it because Jesus Christ lives in our hearts. The resurrection is the foundation of our beliefs, our knowledge and our actions as the people of God in the earth.
There is not much more to say. The story has been told, the prophesy fulfilled, Jesus Christ rose from the dead with all power in heaven and earth in His hands, and He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for the people of God. The resurrection means that our sins are forgiven, our lives redeemed, and our reward is heaven. Praise God!
Jesus, thank you for dying for our sins, saving us and giving us the right to inherit the Kingdom of God as sons and daughters of the King. Today, we remember your sacrifice of the arrest, trial, beatings and dehumanizing death on the cross. But, we celebrate the great victory of the resurrection. Be glorified and accept our offerings of thanksgiving and praise for all that you have done and will do in our lives.
