Read: Judges 20: 26-28
One of my favorite sports teams ever was the Chicago Bulls featuring the great Michael Jordan. Although the team had many good players, it was Jordan that made the difference. Specifically, when the game was close and came down to the last minutes. Everyone in the arena, the opposing team and fans watching on television, knew who was going to get the ball — Michael! Surely enough, Michael would get the ball and six NBA championships later prove why he would be arguably the greatest basketball player ever!
What a joy to know that we have someone greater than any human, or creation. We have the Creator. The greatest of all time. Almighty God on our side. Like the Israelite’s in this text, we know that when faced with a charge from the enemy and the times are short, we are going to our God. We always petition God when we enter into a time of trial, or difficult circumstances. And, He always delivers and always makes a way for His people.
Today, we pray to our God in the midst of this crisis. We humble ourselves before Him so that we may receive His guidance, direction and favor.
