The 2026 North Alabama Annual Conference
The 2026 North Alabama Annual Conference will gather May 28-30 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham under the theme “Leading on the E.D.G.E.” Now is the time to make reservations and prepare to join United Methodists from across the Conference for worship, holy conferencing and leadership development opportunities.
Bishop L. Jonathan Holston writes, “Our theme for the 2026 North Alabama Annual Conference, ‘Leading on the E.D.G.E.,’ reminds us of vital dimensions of congregational health and forms a rhythm of life for churches that want to be faithful, fruitful, and forward-looking.”
This theme highlights the E.D.G.E. framework for faithful action:
- Engaging Our Communities — stepping beyond our walls to know and serve our neighbors
- Developing Lay and Clergy Leaders — raising up leaders for today and tomorrow
- Growing and Connecting Disciples — nurturing people at every stage of their faith journey
- Evaluating Possibilities and Measuring Realities — grounding our mission in honest assessment and Spirit-led action
