| A Note From Our Pastor |
 “Who Is God Calling You to Identify?”Last Sunday, we began a new sermon series entitled: “Go! Identify, Intercede, Invest and Invite” based on Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them everything that I have commanded you.” Biblical scholars call this passage “The Great Commission” and the mission statement of the church of Jesus Christ. My hope is that this series not only helps us to recall and reclaim our purpose as believers of Jesus Christ but also challenges us to sharpen our gifts to minister to the people God places in our lives. With so much happening in our world, there are so many people who need to hear about the love and grace of God through his Son, Jesus Christ. As a matter of fact, I believe that Jesus is the answer to the brokenness we see in the world today. And, guess what? We are being called like never before to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in our community. Remember in this week’s sermon, I challenged each member of Center Grove to pray and identify 4 people – friends, relatives, associates, neighbors, or even someone you just met, to intercede, invest and then invite them into a relationship with Jesus Christ through the ministries of our church. Our goal is to reach a minimum of 16 new people by July 2023. Honestly, if we all participate, we have the potential to reach more than 16 people for the Kingdom of God. Who is God calling you to identify? Write the names down and keep them somewhere visible to remind you of them each day. My prayer is that you will be led by the spirit in all you do and say so that others might experience the love of Christ in a powerful way. Let’s go! We’ve got work to do! Blessing, Pastor Cowser |
