A Note From Our Pastor
“Don’t Forget to Pray for Them!”

“Invest With Love”
“…You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.” -Matthew 22:39 (CEB)

In week three of our sermon series, “Go!”, we talked about the importance of investing in the lives of those that God is calling us to invite into a relationship with Jesus Christ. So often we rush to “inviting” people but it is equally important to invest in them by building a deep and loving relationship with them.

To walk alongside people is similar to planting a seed. We care for a seed by watering it, making sure it gets sunlight and nutrients, and ensuring that no weeds overtake it once it begins to grow. It’s a process that requires patience, love, and care. Simply put, investing in someone means that we begin to share life with them and go the extra mile by demonstrating the love of Christ.

As you think of the people God has placed on your heart, begin to think of creative ways to invest in their lives with love. In preparing to preach, I ran across this anonymous quote that has challenged me to go the extra mile in my call to invest in the life of others. I hope it provides you with inspiration as well.

Let’s go invest!
