A Note From Our Pastor |
“Don’t Forget to Pray for Them!” In week two of our current sermon series, “Go! Identify, Intercede, Invest, & Invite,” we were reminded to pray for those who are in need of a relationship with Jesus Christ. As believers, our prayer life should always include times when we focus our attention on the salvation of others. Paul reminds Timothy, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people” (1 Timothy 2:1, NIV). I believe that when we pray for others to be saved, we join God’s master plan for the salvation of the world. We acknowledge that true transformation – both personal and communal – happens through faith in Jesus Christ. Simply put, the world needs Jesus now more than ever! With all that is happening in our lives and in the world around us, Jesus Christ is truly the answer. When we pray that the world might be saved and we join God at work in the world, that’s when our prayers will be answered and His kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven. I encourage you to think of those you have identified in your life that needs to know Jesus and pray for each one by name. Pray that God will touch their heart and open an opportunity for you to minister to them with the love of Christ. Stay encouraged! Pastor Cowser |
