What’s Happening at CG?

Daily Devotional

Read: Isaiah 40:28-31
A recurring mantra from people concerning the COVAD-19 coronavirus is, when will it be over? But, if we are going to make it through this awful experience it’s going to take perseverance. Perseverance is the persistence in doing something despite difficulty, or delay in achieving success. We can’t give up on the fact that God is with us, He is in control, He will deliver us from this evil, and that delay does not mean denial. We must realize that there is a blessing for those who wait.
Isaiah helps us to see God’s purpose, process, and power in the waiting season. The God who understands what we are going through and the load we carry, will provide us with strength when we are weak and power when we are weary. Because when we persevere, when we hold on, when we remain steadfast in the midst of the pandemics of life, our God who has all power will replenish, restore, and renew His people! When others are falling and quitting, we will still be going. We will not fly like birds, we will soar like eagles. So, hold on my brother, be strong my sister, wait on the Lord, wait I say, on the Lord.
Thank you, Lord, for giving us the strength that we need to make it through the storm that is before us. Today, we resolve to persevere as we wait for your deliverance.
Shalom
Pastor Smith
