Philippians 4:4-7
The word rejoice means to show great delight and joy. Someone might say, how can you show delight in these trying times with all that is happening in our community and world? The Apostle Paul gives us a key insight into our joy, he says, the Lord is near! The nearness of God is our sign that whatever issue, or crisis that confronts us God is with us. Therefore, we commit ourselves to pray a prayer that overcomes our anxiety with thanksgiving knowing that our God is able. God affirms His presence when He says, “I will never leave nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Today, rejoice in the fact that God hears and honors the prayers of His people. Therefore, we commit ourselves to God in prayer, trusting, believing and giving thanks for everything and knowing that the God of peace will always guard your heart and mind.
