What’s Happening at CG?

Daily Devotional

Read: 2 Chronicles 20
The people of God were faced with a vast army at their door. Fear, discouragement, insecurity, hopelessness and the threat of being destroyed surrounded them. King Jehoshaphat, “resolved to inquire of the Lord.” If this sounds familiar, it is. Today, we are confronted with similar circumstances as we face the dreaded enemy, COVID-19 coronavirus. Observe the response of the leader and the people to an attack from the enemy. Instead of reacting, they respond by leaning on the source of their strength…God. Through prayer and fasting, they are reminded of who the battle belongs to and their limitations. They allowed God’s strength to work through their fears and weaknesses.
Today, we know that although the enemy has a plan of attack for our lives, our God has an answer to the attack… prayer, fasting, action, victory!
