A Note From Our Pastor

Dear Center Grove Family:
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Amazing things continue to happen at Center Grove, as ministries are relaunching, attendance grows, and new members are added to our numbers. Because we have strong and dedicated church members and ministry partners, we have continued to be an irresistible light on a hill winning souls for Jesus Christ.
I am writing to announce our 2022 Annual Harvest Celebration. This year’s theme will be “Coming Back Home!” based on Psalm 126:6 (CEB), “Let those who go out, crying and carrying their seed, come home with joyful shouts, carrying bales of grain!” Our 35th Youth Harvest Celebration will be Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The guest preacher will be Rev. Kelsey Barnes, Pastor of Goodsell UMC in Lanett, AL, and Powell Chapel UMC in Lafayette, AL. Our 79th Church Harvest will be Sunday, November 20, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. The guest preacher will be Rev. Charles H. Lee, Retired District Superintendent of the North Alabama Conference of The United Methodist Church.
In keeping with our Harvest Tradition, our Harvest Souvenir Booklet will be available this year—in print and digital. Advertisements may be purchased for: Encouragement, Fraternity and Sorority, College and University, Business Advertisement, In Memory or In Honor, and Church Committees/Auxiliaries. Our souvenir book is a wonderful testimony to the faith, heritage, and excellence of the people called Center Grove Church. If possible, consider purchasing additional advertisements than what you normally do or give an offering over and beyond your regular giving to help the church finish the year strong. The deadline to purchase advertisements is Sunday, November 6, 2022.
In closing, thank you for the many ways you continue to support the ministries of Center Grove. I pray that as we move toward our Harvest Celebration, more people will begin to return to in-person worship services. Each member of our church is needed in this season as we seek to strengthen our church for the future and reach more people for Jesus Christ. Simply put, we need everyone to come back home for Harvest!
