A Note From Our Pastor

Rest & Renewal (Jan 26 – Feb 25) Dear Center Grove Family & Friends:    I pray this note finds you well. I am writing to inform you that beginning January 26th and ending February 25th, I will be away for a time of rest and renewal. Simply put, 31 days to hit reset and seek God’s direction for my life and ministry. At the beginning of this year, I celebrated 12 years of pastoral ministry and words cannot express how grateful I am for the churches and the people that God has placed in my life along the journey. It all has gone by so quickly and quite honestly, I have been nonstop over the years. I feel for me to be my best possible self, I need a small break to care for my mind, body, and soul.    I want you to know that although I am stepping away for a moment, the church is still on the move! You are in very capable and loving hands with Associate Pastor Marian Royston handling the daily affairs of the church and pastoral care. She and other guest ministers, whom we will announce weekly, will be preaching on Sundays and teaching Bible studies on Wednesdays. If you need anything during this time, please contact the church office and Pastor Royston – our lay leadership will be happy to serve you.    In closing, I am grateful for each of you, the support of District Superintendent Rev. Tom Parrish, our church staff, and the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee led by Ms. Gayle Williams. I look forward to returning to you on Sunday, February 26th, when we will celebrate Black History Month and prepare our hearts for the Lenten Season.   May God continue to bless each of you.   Grateful to be your pastor, Dr. Dedric A.
