What’s Happening at CG?

A Note From Pastor Cowser

“Things that Money Can’t Buy”
Teach us to number our days so we can have a wise heart.
Psalm 90:12 (CEB)
I am sure you have heard the phrase: “Money can’t buy happiness.” In many ways, this has and will always be true. If you ask some of the world’s wealthiest people, they would more than likely agree that there is only so much that money can buy. Another thing that I believe we can add to the list of “things without a price tag” is time. The thing about time is that you can’t rewind it, you can’t fast forward it, and you can’t stop it. Time is a gift from God; therefore, we should treasure each moment that we have on earth. God gives each of us enough time to accomplish our purpose, but sadly, there are many stories of people who did not recognize the importance of time until it was too late.
William Penn, a 17th Century philosopher, once wrote: “Time is what we want most, but what we use worst.” Undoubtedly, we all want long and prosperous lives, but we must always remember to be grateful for each breath that we take. I believe if we live with that type of attitude, we will not only begin to prioritize things in a way that glorifies God, but we will experience a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment in life.
Blessings,
Pastor Cowser
