Farmers to Families Food Donations Through March

Eli Brooks from Daystar Church posted the following bulletin message: “We have been extended through the month of March so we will continue to provide food every Monday!

Boxes will be available at Madison City Stadium (211 Celtic Dr. Madison) Mondays (3/8, 3/15, 3/22, & 3/29) starting at 9:30AM. We have been distributing 1,000-1,200 boxes each Monday and running out before noon so come early!!

What is it?
“Farmers to Families” is a $4 billion provision of the Cares Act. Through this act, the federal government is purchasing food from US farmers and giving it to families to ensure that the food does not go to waste and that families are helped out during the pandemic.

Daystar Church, in partnership with the Madison City Schools, Madison Police Department, Faith-Based Coalition, The Rotary Club, and the USDA, is serving as a POD (place of distribution) for these fresh food boxes. Each foodbox contains approx 30lbs. of healthy perishable food products such as pre-cooked chicken or pork, dairy prod ucts, and assorted fruit and vegetables.
They are available to all families on a first come, first served basis. Families need not show any proof of need or identification.

Please spread the word and invite the community to come take advantage of this great opportunity!

Please email elibrooks@daystarchurch.tv or ashleyclark@daystarchurch.tv with any questions. “
